Mission

Founded in 1992, Gilgamesh Theatre Group is dedicated to developing and showcasing new talent and new works while building a non-traditional audience. Our mission is carried out through three distinct programs: The Performance Project which develops new talent, through ensemble-driven, company-created works, and new audiences, through free performances in schools, parks and other community centers; The Theatre in Education Project which sends artists into the schools to work directly with students and their teachers; and The Playwrights Project which presents the NYC premieres of works by regional and emerging playwrights.
